3 weeks

Yesterday, Chelsea turned 3 weeks old! She went to the pediatrician for a weight check yesterday and she has gained 8oz. in the past 7 days. She weighed in at 6lbs. 1oz. We had to go to Babies R Us and buy some more preemie onesies, sleepers and bibs. It won't be long until she will be able to graduate from the preemie clothes to all of the cute newborn outfits we have.

Everything else is good.. still completely exhausted!

camera shopping

Well, I mentioned before that our digital camera decided to end it's life on the day we got released from the hospital. Today I finally got around to calling buy.com about the damn thing... I had purchased an extended warranty through them when I purchased the camera in June of 2007. As it turns out, the camera is no longer made so they'll be sending me a check for the cost at the time of purchase. I suppose I'll take the opportunity to upgrade.. I'd like to spend around $300 at most... so now I have to do some research and see what I can find.. any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

and another thing...

Happy birthday to Chelsea's Uncle Caleb. A tip of the bottle to you, good fellow... You are a fine uncle and an even finer brother indeed.

daycare

Daycare is hard to select. I just cannot bring myself to trust anyone.

....hmmm.............

Thoughts? Suggestions?

work

Today is my first day back at work since Chelsea was born. I feel bad leaving my wife and daughter at home, but those bills aren't going to pay themselves...

I can't wait to get home tonight.

some stuff about stuff

Tired.
Elaina is exhausted and I suspect she's becoming a zombie. No flesh eating or brain chomping yet, but time will tell.....

Here's a brief summary of things since our daughter arrived:
We left the hospital around 3:30pm on Monday (Feb 2)
The digital camera broke approximately 2:45pm that same day... nice timing Fuji... jerks.

um... what else... what else........

Chelsea has jaundice... more than 50% of newborns do, evidently. Sent us home with a bili bed so the special magical lights can help the jaundice go away faster. 2 days with the bed and she's done already... so things are good.

She had her first visit to the pediatrician this morning... that went well. The doctor said she's basically the most perfect baby ever created and we've ruined parenthood for everyone else in the world.... so... in your face, humanity!
